... that enables him with the conventional drop down menu system that lots of sites around have. While working on google and trying to locate some of these types of component one like on “swmenupro” which does exactly what the client wanted but the day I checked it seems its not 1.5 compatible.

“swMenuMaker” which is a free version of the component that gives exact functionally  works fine with  Joomla 1.5.
